Two 'Big Give' guided walks by Blue Badge Guide, Gordon Lightburn. Start 10am and repeated at 12pm. Duration 2 hours, distance 1.9 miles. Britain's best loved painter JMW Turner spent 1 whole day of 1797 in the Vale of Patterdale. Follow in JMWs steps as he stepped out around the village seeking out the best viewpoints to record in his sketchbook, and see for yourself some of the wonderful works of art he duly created. On the way, we will encounter other famous artists of the period including John Glover, Joseph Farrington and Anne MacBeth. Suggested minimum donation £10.
