In Matterdale we are very focused on reducing the amount of waste we produce and that the waste we do generate is handled correctly. We advocate the avoidance of single use plastic - bring reusable water bottles/coffee cups and when visiting please follow your accommodation's recycling guidelines. For larger items you will find Flusco just off the A66 towards Penrith.

The concept is simple. Bring your own containers, fill them and pay by weight. When they are empty, bring them back and refill them. No packaging waste.
