Matterdale NatureWatch
Matterdale's own NatureWatch group has been set up with the aims of having fun observing and sharing observations of the flora and fauna of the valley, building a picture of the biodiversity of the area and sharing the information with the Cumbria Biodiveristy Data Centre. The group has been set up on Nextdoor to share photos and information of what, where and when species of interest have been seen. To join the group if you are already set up on NextDoor click here. For more information contact Paddy at paddy.palmer@btinternet.com. The CBDC recording sheet for your observations is available here.

MCA Monthly Photography
Over on the Matterdale section of the NextDoor app we have created a MCA Monthly Photography group. In 2021 people spent time taking pictures of 'Life in Matterdale' which emerged as the Life in Matterdale 2022 calendar. In 2022 the theme is People of Matterdale (permission must be secured for photograph use from the person/people included in the photo). These can be people at work, play etc but to show and capture the varied population of the Matterdale valley. If you aren't on NextDoor yet then please contact Veronica Gore (vagore16@gmail.com) and she will send you an invitation. Matterdale home owners only. Here's the link to the group if you are already set up on NextDoor.
