Matterdale Community Walk

This is a a 4.25 mile community walk with tea and cake to raise money for a permanent bench above Matterdale End. 

The walk starts at 2pm from Matterdale Church , 2:15 from Ulcat Row road end or for a shorter walk join in at 2:40 from Matterdale End. The walk will then go up to the New Road, and return to the top of Matterdale End for tea and cakes at around 3.45 before returning over fields to the Church.  

• Please note that this route can be wet in parts so suitable footwear should be worn.
• A suggested donation of £5 per head would help kick start the fundraising for the bench. Donations can be made through the Matterdale Community Association via People's Fundraising
• Please let janenewport7@gmail.com know if you are thinking of taking part so that we have numbers for catering and so that we can notify you in case there have to be any last minute changes.

Walk leaflets will be available after this date from the Royal Hotel if you want to do the walk independently.
