This hilarious comedy drama follows two young Irish speaking rappers in Belfast, as they link up with an Irish language teacher and form the titular hip-hop trio, beginning their rise to fame.
Liam (Mo Chara) and Naoise (Móglaí Bap) are best friends who grew up together, learning Irish from Naoise’s dad (Michael Fassbender). Fast forward and they’re now young men, increasingly frustrated by a society that tells them to speak English and abandon their native tongue. After meeting JJ (Dj Próvai), the trio form a hip-hop group, rapping in Irish and recording music that soon acts as a lightning rod for Irish language rights in Northern Ireland.
