About the Event
Hello, beautiful souls. I'm Tom, a 36-year-old farmer from the stunning Lake District, and I've got an invitation that will not only make your heart sing but also contribute to some incredible causes close to my heart. Two years ago, my wife and I laced up our running shoes for our first marathon, and the experience transformed us. We raised over £4000 for the Great North Air Ambulance, and since then, I've been itching to do more.
But let me share a bit of inspiration that fueled this fire within me. Doddie Weir, a fellow farmer, shared his personal journey with the world. His strength and resilience, even in the face of adversity, left an indelible mark on my heart. It was through Doddie that I stumbled upon another hero, Rob Burrows, bravely battling Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Witnessing Rob and his friend Kevin Sinfield run tirelessly for MND awareness was like a beacon calling me to action.
So, here I am, inviting you to a night of merriment and meaning at the Patterdale Charity Shindig! This event is not just a party; it's a chance to make a real difference in our community.
This event is not just about having a great time – it's about making a positive impact. We're raising funds for Patterdale Primary School, supporting the MND community, and ensuring the Great North Air Ambulance (GNAAS) can continue its life-saving work. The raised funds, after costs (marquee/band/food) will be split 40:40:20. 40% to GNAAS, 40% to MND and 20% to Patterdale Support Group. Financials will be shared post-event and full transparency provided.
How You Can Contribute:
Attend the Event: Buy your tickets and bring your friends for a night you won't forget. Tickets are being sold per table - 10 per table. £25 per person/£250 per table.
Donate: If you can't make it, consider making a donation. Every little bit counts! If you run a business of any kind, please consider donating a prize for the raffle or auction.
