About the Event
We have arranged a visit to Raby Castle & Gardens followed by a stop over at Eggleston Hall Nurseries & Garden Centre on Tuesday 20th August 2024.
The trip will involve a one hour coach trip to Raby Castle where we will stay for approx. 4 hours and includes a guided tour of the castle, access to the newly constructed gardens and time to explore the various shops and galleries.
We will then be taken by coach to Eggleston Hall Nursery & Gardens which are often referred to as ‘The Jewel amongst the Hills’ for an hour. The Garden Centre has a fantastic collection of plants to buy.
Departure time will be 9.00am from Penrith Bus Station and we should arrive back between 5pm and 6pm.
There is a café & restaurant at Raby Castle although you may prefer to bring a packed lunch. There is a toilet on the coach.
The cost will be £30 each which covers the coach, entrance, guided tour of the castle & access to the gardens & parkland. This is payable in advance.
Places will be allocated on a first come basis.
